Slim's friends, waiting outside the house, hear the struggle and break in. Mitch threatens them with a gun, before Phil picks up Gracie to use as a witness while exhorting her to look at her father. Unable to shoot the man with Gracie watching him, Mitch lets Slim escape.

Women who endure abuse are encouraged to get out of the situation. Granted, Enough portrays an extreme example of murderous obsession, but Slim's first response to her husband's abuse is to leave and seek help, and that's good. In this case, Slim's friends rise to the occasion, even risking their own lives to help her.

When he arrives they fight and Slim beats Mitch unconscious before she eventually knocks him off a balcony to his death. The police regard her actions as self-defense. Slim and Gracie reunite and go to live with Joe in Seattle.

Slim premeditated his murder, broke into his house, initiated a fight, and isn't even arrested (the police proved to be thoroughly useless by that point). As the tagline suggests "Self defense isn't murder".

Enough Locations

A majority of the scenes were shot in Port Townsend, Gig Harbor, Seattle, Piru, Los Angeles County, and San Francisco. Gig Harbor is a small town located on Puget Sound near Tacoma, Washington.

This film is about a woman who finds out that her husband is not the great man he appears to be. She refuses to accept her fate as an abused housewife, and does everything she can to change her destiny. "Enough" wastes no time beating around the bush.
