To be honest I am kinda very upset that razer nor anyone else has bothered to respond to you or some of the same other posts of this as I am currently have this exact same issue same as 18 other people I found online. OP have you found out the fix or stuck like me
Nope, no solution.
I returned the 330W Razer because I didn't want a useless $300 brick sitting around.
I tried out the SlimQ 240W but unfortunately it also triggered the same error, so I returned that as well. Their customer support was very understanding and attentive throughout the whole process though, definitely would recommend for other brands of laptops.
Lastly I bought the OEM 230W Razer and the error did not show. It still runs hot as hell and the battery percentage still drops when I have long game sessions. If this one fails within a year or so I’m giving up on my laptop. My Razer mouse wheel gave out in a year and I have two whole threads on their headset.Paid the premium but only bought myself stress for 2 whole years. Found out I indeed am not a masochist.
Whether the problem is software or hardware or both doesn’t really matter anymore because either way Razer has their hands dirty. The error shows because the laptop cannot recognize the charger and therefore limits the power draw to prevent potential overload. Could be a tactic to force people to only buy OEM. No idea why it happens with their own products but the lack of customer support didn't help. If it'shardware compatibility, you can’t do much about it unless they churn out new models. If its software/Synapse related, the chances of them fixing it is low and we won't know how long it would take or how else to test it.
I would say return your 330W if you have no use for it and if you still can. Get an OEM one if you need to. If that fixes whatever issue you're having, great, you better hopethat it lasts at least a year. If not, could be the battery and in very rare cases, the motherboard.
All in all, I learnt that money doesn’t guarantee anything. What one needs is knowledge. I’ll be doing good research for my future desktop.
Sorry for the essay and best of luck.
Wait so you getting the oem charger fixed it for you? The error dosent show and it pulls more than 40w?
The error never showed even with my original OEM (laptop came with a 230W), only with the 330W Razer and 240W SlimQ. The OEM can pull full load.
I wanted to switch out my original because I was having a problem where the Laptop would switch between Plugged-in and On Battery rapidly. I found that the power supply was the culprit of that problem for a lot of people. The plug-battery seems to be fixed for me fornow, but I don't know how long it would stay this way.I bought the 330W first because it wouldn't get as hotand last longer (if itworked like it should have in the first place.)
If you are getting the error with your OEM, does your laptop happen to be a Blade 15 model? If yes, they had that problem a while ago back in June but I think it was fixed with a Synapse update (more evidence Razer is in full control of this and doing it consciously.)
My blade is the same as yours but mid 2021. I don’t have mine switching between battery and ac power just straight up showsNot Receiving Adequate Power from OEM Charged and 2 amazon 230w chargers. Which one works for you. I have tried pretty much everything apare from a replacement from razer
I am not too sure then. If ur OEM used to work properly and one day freaked out then it could be the problem. From what I have seen online, the Razer 230W has some serious life span issues. Lots of people complain about how hot it gets and how they have to replace one every year or few month even. Although the problems we facearen't quite the same, the charger killing itself with heatand losing power conversion performance could potential lead to both of them. The amazon ones not working is no surprise, but I don't think I need to talk about all that again.
I think it would be worth a try to go for the OEM. If it still doesn't work then the problem goes deeper, and you’ll have to reach out and get dedicated support from Razer.
I know this thread is old but I had a similar issue with my 2022 17’" blade I had to unplug the battery and reset the cmos by removing the cmos battery hold the power button with both batteries unplugged then put the batteries back in and boot up the system then I plugged it in and everthing was okay.
Reading this because hey I don’t get sufficient power too. Have blade 16 from 2023 with RTX4090. I got this problem after I did a razer USB recovery from USB. Clean install synapse 3 gave me the error. Installed the synapse beta I had before when all worked fine. Error disappeared. But now my battery drains when gaming. Not a little bit but a lot.
Not sure how to solve it waiting on rawer support.
